History into my restaurant

Whilst researching into the mutton quad brief i came across another students blog. I have decided that i am going to create a history booklet or add it into my menu. Basically saying when it was formed, background into the theme and name, opening times, etc.

History into my restaurant & bar

Situated in the heart of the city. Widows & Orphans is a new, up and coming Typography themed restauraut. Widows and Orphans exactly comes the typography meaning, a word left on its own at the end of a paragraph.

The owners, Lynda and Steven Woods created Widows & Orphans back in 1995 opening there first restaurant in there home town of Manchester, Now there are 5 to this chain, Manchester, Leeds, London, Edinburgh and newly Sheffield.

The restaurant aim is to provide traditional british food in a classy minalist setting. Everyone likes tradtional food. The problem is it tends to be only served in grotty pubs with mish mash furniture and sticky carpets.

So, me and my husband have tried to create a up market atmosphere within our restaurant. With a minalist black and white colour scheme, clean logo design, using the ampersand within the interior design, on the wallpaper, cultery and plates etc.
